Natalia Grigoryevna Tomson Vice-President of Russian Organization for Quality
Born in Moscow.
Graduated with honours from the Moscow Institute of Electronic Engineering.
In 1978 defended a thesis, and received the Ph.D. degree in engineering.
Worked for various research institutes, including the USSR Gosstandart Research Institute of Classification, Terminology and Information on Standardization and Quality.
On the invitation of the German side in 1989-1990 was in West Germany for training in the RW TUV. Then had training in Italy and France under the TACIS program, and in the Japanese Standards Association under bilateral cooperation agreement.
From 1990 Ms. Tomson was a leading researcher of the Russian Research Institute of Certification. While in the Institute, she initiated the establishment of the “Certification” journal.
From 1993 she was the director of the government run “Standards & Quality” Journal Publishing House. Now this Publishing House is the Advertising and Information Agency “Standards & Quality”. The Agency issues six journals, namely: “Standards & Quality”, “Quality Management Methods”, “Partners and Competitors”, “World of Measurements”, “European Quality”, and "ISO 9000+14000+”. Books on these topics are also published. The Agency has been one of the initiators of the “Top of Russian Quality” Programme.
Ms. N.G.Tomson is a Vice-President of the Russian Organization
for Quality , Member of the Academy of Quality Problems.
Authored many publications, science articles and reviews,
interviews, and books.
She is decorated with the medal of the “Za zaslugy pered Otechestvom” Order (For Services to the Motherland” Second Degree, the breastplate “Za zaslugy v sdandartizatzii” (For Services to Standardization”, and by other awards.
Yuri Nikolayevich Samoilov Executive Director of Russian Organization for Quality
First class instructor-pilot; USSR master of sports, piloting.
Born on February 15, 1954 in Gavrilov Yam town, Yaroslav Region.
From 1975 was a serviceman of the Russian Air Force.In 1986 was an engineer of commercial service and economist of commercial exploitation of international airlines, Regional Commercial Directorate for Trans-Siberian and Trans-Asian Airlines of Aeroflot International Commercial Department.
From 1988 held top managerial posts in daughter companies of Aeroflot in Russia and abroad, and in various Russia – America joint companies; was the General Representative of Aeroflot, Krasnoyarsk Airlines, director of Representatives Division and Director of Representatives Department at the “East-Line” Airlines. Worked in Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, India, USA, Great Britain, Germany, Hungary, and Switzerland. Organized the first Aeroflot flights to Thailand and Hong Kong by À-300 Airbus, and the first Aeroflot cargo flights to the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon (Beirut), and Quatar (Doha). Participated in the first USA - Russia Air Conference in San Diego. Was a member of working groups on Russian investment projects together with foreign financial institutions and banks of Europe and the United States.
From 2004 is Executive Director of Business Excellence Department, the Russian Organization for Quality.
Has government decorations.
